Sold by the estate to a phone caller

According to Jim Stewarts magazine article there was only 1 known to exist [Woodstock made] until this one surfaced a few days ago.
There are lots of American collectors for Tobin shotguns but they are primarily interested in the Norwich made guns from 1905 to 1909, said to be around 11,000 of them; but there are always exceptions to that generalization.
My source says this recent Regal grade gun is going to AB for a price very similar to the one first mentioned on this thread.
 
I am glad it didn’t get turned over for destruction. I am glad someone posted it for me to see. I’m glad a seller got a fair price. I’m glad an appreciative buyer got it. I’m glad it’s still in Canada.

Most of these threads suck. This one was awesome!
 
Holy crap this is a beautiful Tobin. 5k seems cheap. It's almost priceless based on how rare this grade is...
