Only part of my build that I have set in stone currently is a Brownell's m16 5.56 nickel boron BCG. It was on sale and too good to pass up. I will also most likely throw a superlative arms gas block in the mix like I have for my 102, thanks DILLI

6 lbs seems hard to attaine? My MV with: mft stock, ergo grip, magpull asap, aero precision extended mount, vortex strike eagle 1-8(no caps) light profile barrel(lilja), fortis switch 14 inch, vg6 gamma brake , 2 2inch keymod rail segment and no mag. Tips my scale a 8 lbs and .5 oz

You might shave a pound with the aimpoint but the other I don't know where.

.277 Wolverine is definitely a cool chambering.

It’s easy to save some weight on your rifle. It just costs a lot.

Handguard 3-4 oz - change it to a Faxon Carbon fiber with a V7 Titanium barrel nut, or V7 hyper light.
Bolt carrier 3-5oz - Change it to a Faxon Lightweight, V7 Titanium, or JP Ultra LMOS.
Gas block 1oz - change to SLR Titanium.
buffer & spring 1oz - if your MV has a gen 1 JP SCSS change it to a gen 2, they use an aluminum guide rod instead of steel
All the small stuff, it will all add up 1-2oz - look at th V7 stuff, pistol grip screw, port door, port door rod, safety, magazine release, buffer tube, buffer tube endplate & castle nut, etc

I don’t have my computer with me, I have a spread sheet with most of the weights of those parts. But even if you go on the low side of my estimate it will still be 9oz which is over a half pound.

I'm leaning towards the 6.5 Grendel for the bullet selection, but there's a lot to like about the Wolverine.

Look at the Faxon lightweight, it is less than an oz heavier and $340 instead of $580 price of the V7 weapon systems titanium one.

In a NR platform you certainly can. The biggest advantage is that you don't need to use hard to find parts to build one unlike the SPC or Grendel.

I dealt with that non-sponsor last summer, and would definitely recommend them.

Yeah I bought a few things from them before for import. Ended up getting a custom barrel being made for my xcr-l instead. I was hoping the NR lowers would be out by now. The part I was speaking to was sub sonics with a can... maybe one day.

Rem 30AR will have the advantage of the most bullet selection and some actual horsepower to do work

It should, the gas port on those is too big for an ACR which means they probably did no R&D and just ordered some 18.75 inch AR barrels and passed them off as ACR barrels for double the price.
It will be mid length gas system if it's from an ACR so keep that in mind when ordering your gas tube.

You are 100% wrong.

Our ACR barrels are purpose built ACR barrels, made to our profile and spec in the USA with correctly sized gas ports and full factory QC. NOT shortened AR15 barrels, etc. NOT no R&D.

I am surprised you would make such an assumption then post it as fact.

Arms East has acr 18.75 barrels on their site. But I was reading somewhere the gas hole is different size. So I’m wondering if it will work or not. ??

The gas port is smaller on the ACR barrels, simple adjustment to enlarge which we have done as requested.

Due to demand, we have a small run produced out of the box for the AR15 and will have those in stock shortly.
