Scope mount suggestions for vangard 2

I used Talley light weights on one of mine and Burris XTB 2 piece bases and Burris Sig Z rings on the other. Both work well for me.

Recently removed a scope from my Vanguard .300 Win that had spent several years clamped in Burris Signature rings. Not a single mark, not even a hint of one. The next time one of my scopes slips in a set of Signature rings will be the first.

I've removed a fair number of scopes that had been mounted by other methods...I've seen all kinds of scarring of scopes, and a number of crushed tubes. And, worse, a number of scopes so bound up by misalignment that the internal erector assembly was literally jammed and immovable.

Burris Signatures are the only rings that go on my rifles!

And no lapping ever required.

Talley lightweights all the way. light, well machined and very well priced. Im also impressed with the Burris Zee's, but they are heavier and you have to buy a mount too. Talley's are two in one (both ring and base) for the price of one. Talley's are best bang for the buck, no question.

I've got various set-ups. Weaver alloy, Weaver Grand Slam bases on short actions.
Long actions get EGW rails, or Rem 700 tally type from Remington Country Canada.
