OK - a long time since I've posted anything but -
I cannot find any place in Canada where I can find new or even 'once fired' brass to reload for my Russian Mosin Nagant.
Finally have some .312 bullets but finding brass in any quantity is a challenge.
I have one box of fmj in brass cases and once I dump them down the range it will be a start but .... not where I want to go.
Does anyone have any idea where I can get some?

Unfortunately I have found it available in the excited states of America but they are forbidden to ship it out of their country.
Poor souls.

Option I have used so far is buying commercial loaded rounds. Then as used they can be reloaded. However after buying several boxes of brass SP I realized between surplus and the off chance that I'd hunt with my 91/30,m38, SVT I may never actually need to reload for this calibre.
PPU brass looks good, I have not shot the S&B yet. Other brands are difficult to find.

I've seen bags of 100 at gun shows but all mine is factory ammo I saved the brass from. I got lucky a couple times at my range and guys left 40-50 PPU cases on the bench when they left. Combined with my 100-odd factory rounds and I've got maybe 250 cases. Have a couple crates or surplus still too.

I bought a bunch of PPU Match ammo from Western Metal. Shoots great and the brass is excellent to reload.

This is what I do for .303. When you compare costs for empty PPU cases with factory ammo, it is just as well to buy factory ammo and save the brass for reloading.

Thanks for all the suggestions - I did try tradex and they were sold out with no idea when they would get any back in again.
It will probably be - as many have suggested to simply purchase the brass cartridge rounds - easier in the long run.

As for hunting with this round.... I have several different old military and other older calibers that clutter up my safe and I have a moto that each and every one of them will put food on the table. They must earn their keep Hahaha.

This one has to wait it's turn as I have a few in the Queue ahead of it and there is a limit on the number of game animals one can take in a year.lol
