Winchester model 69A

Does anyone have a PDF of the model 69A manual?

I can write you a manual in two minutes, for the 69 Winchester.

---'Make sure the barrel is clear of all obstructions.
"Raise the bolt handle, and pull it back".
"Insert a 22 caliber rim fire cartridge into the firing chamber."

Be sure and keep the rifle pointed in a safe direction, and make sure no one, or no thing, gets in front of the muzzle, as it will now fire if the trigger is pulled.

There is your manual, ready to be printed.

Don't let them poke fun at you now, because it is printed right on your barrel, "Do not fire this rifle until you have read the manual," doesn't it?

Pull the bolt.
Eye bawl the bore.
Remove the magazine/clippy unit.
Undue biggun screw just ahead of the front of the trigger guard.
Separate the two arf's.

Don't lose the wee critter that fits under the bolt in the receiver.

Pretty simple operation.

To add to Kamlooky, take a can of G96 spray the crap out of it , ripe all the crud off, use a old tooth brush ,or a little soft brass brush to clean everything, same with bolt, don't take the bolt apart is it still works.
And if you want to get real fancy, clean the wood and wipe on a thing coat of stock oil, BLO or just pastwax.
They are super nice guns., best 22 I ever had , with the peep sight.

And iff'in yew wish for some really excitemint, pull the pin out the back end of the bolt.
I'll garrintee yew some....:slap:.....f:P:2:.............why in the fruck did I dew that.

Nope, nawt attawll.
I have three of them in my possession now.
Sold a beater not long ago I wish I'd kept just for parts.

Let me know when you git dun tired of yours.................

I've had two 69As. Both of them could shoot 25 meter groups on their simple notch rear sight, that were as good as my other scoped rifles. 5 shots, benched, cheap bulk Wincheser high velocity ammo...one big hole. Disclaimer: Eyes were better then.

you would not be the first .
as Dad said , if it an't broke, don't fix the damn thing (after I had pulled the tractor apart)

And iff'in yew wish for some really excitemint, pull the pin out the back end of the bolt.
I'll garrintee yew some....:slap:.....f:P:2:.............why in the fruck did I dew that.

Looking for manual to do proper takedown and clean it appears it has not been done in long time.

It should never be taken down to clean, unless something like falling into a mud puddle happened to it.
22 rim fire barrels are soft and not much cleaning with an im proper rod can ruin them.

Actually contrary to one everyone has said here the bolt is the only thing that should be taken spRt and cleaned decades of corrosion acumulates in all the crevices and tends to make the firing pin drag and the spring not compress properly also the extractors don't move freely . Not that defficult to do if you have never done take it to a smith that is over the age of 40and he should beable to do it.
