That's kinda what I suspect but it is only a 10 shot stick mag .

What the magazine has to with anything is beyond me. The gun would likely be classified as a Variant of the Thompson Submachinegun.

but I am giving up looking due to the grey areas that are coming to light . The search is over .

I recall seeing one of those (not sure of manufacture though) at a gun show back in the 80s.

Thought about purchasing but decided to keep the cash in my wallet as it was tight back then.

Ahhh, the 80s, the last gasp of the good old days.

Oh, and by the way, I think C-17 banned those by specific mention back in '92 as it did with many other neat firearms.
