M pro 7 gun oil reviews? Recommended gun oil for rust resistance?

I've been using Rand CLP, ordered through the Dewey site and it works well. I haven't found it in Canada yet. I've been looking at options available in Canada lately, but haven't landed on anything.

Hmmmm... Looks like it's been around long enough (67 years) to actually "do what it says on the tin."

I wish it came in a higher viscosity so I could use it on my lathe - spoke with one of the guys there & they do have a shop/industrial formulation, but it's only at SAE 13 :(

For rust, Ballistol or Froglube will provide years of protection.

I can truly second that, I love Ballistol but the smell is really back my wife and dog off.

As for Froglube, It's almost the lube ever except if you don't mind spend time to apply them properly and also great for reloading when full length resizing case.

Ballistol smells like dirty sweaty socks soaked in urine, then left in the hot sun to really marinade... brutal stuff lol.
But it works!

Just a tad overpowering in a small space. Hell of a decongestant, though- if you don't pass out. :)

I try to keep the storage area dry with a dehumidifier all year long
Which kind of obviates the need for a really effective rust preventative, though, as per the OP's post. But as a general protective wipe, excellent.

Hopefully you wipe your firearms down soon after use..or don't go swimming with them then you'll need a Glock :)

1/ Alas, can't go swimming with them as it is against the transportation regs which state that restricted must be transported in the most direct route home. Stopping off at the local pool is simply not allowed. (But for those times when I fear the need for a swim might overpower my ability to follow the rules, I have a Ruger SR9 and SR45.)

2/ "Is that Glock in your swimsuit or are you just happy to see me?"
