Met up with CGN’er Still alive at the range today, he brought his new Roni along and we had a good little session sighting it in while it pissed down rain on us :)
What a fun piece of kit, he had his Glock 22 mounted in it with the 9mm barrel, and I was pleasantly surprised at how accurate it was, light, fast, and made me feel like a secret agent!!!
I think I might have to get my hands on one just for ####s n giggles, maybe even try a speed steel with one!
Thank SA, that was fun for sure

Ah nice!

I know exactly what you mean about accurate fast and secret agent time!! :)

I have the one with the telescoping stock for the 226 9mm and it is a really tasty piece of kit.

Ordered mine online from the great folks at the Israel Defense Store.

Got a great deal and free shipping and lots of different package options like with sling etc etc.

I would check it out.

Hahaha! Glad you had fun edgy and thanks for posting!

My first PCC so unsure what distance to zero it for. Any one with input on that? It will be used for Speed Steel, TAC rifle and fun at the range. I currently have it set at 25yds and it still shoots to POA at 50yds with 115gr ammo.

I also got mine from Israel. Took 10 days to get here and free shipping too! You get a 15% discount if you sign up on their site.

Review! Amazing fit and finish...for plastic! No rattles at all. Controls are stiff as heck and the gun does not go in and out as easily as you see on their product video! I assume there is a break in period. No malfunctions of any kind to report in 70 rds. The ergos are surprisingly good. The thumb rest is a great idea imo.

Milanczar, I didn’t know the other kits including the 226 were out already. I was hoping to set it up for a M&P but the site says they’re sold out. I had heard that only the Glock ones were available at the moment.

Ah my bad, did not notice that was a picture of a micro RONI

I have a RONI 226. That is the one with the telescoping stock.

This is a picture of the kind I have below

Thanks for the clarification Milanczar!

Why would you need to clean the inside of the chassis? I figured the only thing was to wipe the muzzle out. The rest of the fouling should be contained in the handgun itself, no? You have me worried now as I’m pretty anal about this sort of thing too!

I did notice the muzzle crown was coated in carbon fouling, which never happens when I shoot the gun without the kit on it.

We put less than 50 FMJ S&B through it at the range sighting the RONI/226 in and while taking the pistol out I noticed there was a layer on the inside of the chassis more concentrated as you noticed around the muzzle crown.

Likely the carbine chassis encasing the pistols creates a chamber effect where the movement of the slide will draw back air and particles back into and on the pistol and inside the chassis compartment.

Not a biggie for cleaning other than having to pay extra attention to wiping down the pistol and the muzzle area and wiping the inside of the chassis.

That was what I noticed about the contours of the RONI vs th HERA for for the .45 is that the shaping of the RONI with the contours creates a bit more surface area and nooks and corners to have to scrub/swipe.

Gotcha! I think I’m going to ignore the build up on the chassis except for a quick wipe with Hoppes once in a while. I figure it’s plastic. Not much can go wrong as long as I clean the gun itself after use. There is not much resale in this. So might as well use and abuse it!

Micro Roni appeals to me. Too bad they haven’t released the S&W M&P version. Might have to buy a Glock....
