I was just in the Vegreville CTC store and they (this store only) are getting out of selling firearms. Everything is 20% or more off. I purchased a LH x bolt hunter in 7-08. They have over 20 firearms on display. A CZ 455 Canadian is $450. There are Savage rifles, Rem 783, I did not check on prices of individual firearms and do not know if they have more in stock than on inventory but if you live nearby it would be worth checking out.

Canadian tire store in Belleville Ontario is big on hunting stuff ,, No fear of them quiting the firearm sales for sure.. They have more stuff than most hunting stores .. almost like going too a pro bass or something

I'm kind of surprised the Canadian Tire store on Grandview in Vancouver didn't stop selling firearms when that crazy dude attempted to steal guns. Stabbed the gun counter guy, tried to load one of the guns so he could start shooting at people in the store, stabbed a cop, and then got wasted by VPD. Sounds like something from Grand Theft Auto 5 but this was real. People were so @#$%ing stupid when that was happening, security was trying to get people out of the store but people still wanted to shop.

CT in Abbotsford BC have all of their firearms on sale for 25% off.

I was told at another CT store that Abbotsford CT is getting out of selling firearms.

It always used to be a store-by-store decision. But any of the stores that have undergone the big "Outdoor Outfitter" upgrades will probably stick with it but if it's not making money then why not replace the floor space with more lawn chairs or other stuff like that.

Some of the problem is corporate CT....store policy record NR sales....removed SKS'S. ...trades not allowed.
If you're looking to sell guns you need to cater to the pro gun crowd not please the citified snowflakes!

They added on 8000 sq feet of outdoor outfitter to the Canadian tire in Swift Current a couple years ago. I go in there often to browse and check for sales and it’s a ghost town. I’m usually the only person in there, finding a clerk to open the locked displays is difficult. I don’t know how they justify the use of space for what appears to be operating at a loss.

I find most CTC gun counters around Calgary to be overpriced on most firearms and a fair bit of ammo. And they rarely have any meaningful selection of LH firearms. Keeps me away, I’m sure it keeps many others away too.

What did they have? The stores I’ve been in were way overpriced, but some had Mosins at a decent price.

For your information, CT in Rocky Mountain House AB have all their TIKKA inventory on clearance as of yesterday (around 10% off). And this includes well over 25 LH models.

These guys are not getting out of the firearm business. This clearance is simply to make more room for new inventory. They have over 400 firearms for sale in there.

Sales on many more models. For example, they have a Weatherby Mark V in .300 WBY on sale for just over $1000.00!
