Kodiak Tac Marine 14" or 13" ?

Just received my Kodiak Tac Marine shotgun today but have not had an opportunity to shoot it. My initial impression is positive but there are two issues:

1 - On CanadaAmmo's website it states the gun has a "Ghost Ring" sight. Yet mine has an open sight. I am fine with that but thought it rather odd.

2 - On the website it states the gun has a 13" barrel. I measured it and it is 13" but written on the side of the barrel is 12 GA 3" 14" with Kodiak Tac Marine below.

My concern is that I have 13" barrel but is is clearly marked as a 14".

Is there a possible legal issue here in that at some point in the future the law makers think I have shortened the barrel myself by one inch?

Rack the slide shut, put a cleaning rod down the barrel so it touches the bolt face, mark where the muzzle is on the rod, remove and measure the rod, my bet is .........14 inches

You lose that bet. I know how to measure a barrel. Slide was closed as if there was a live shell in the chamber and a measuring tape was inserted so it touched the bolt face. I got 13" and 1/8" but it is clearly not 14".

So I have a firearm with a 13" (maybe 13 1/8") barrel but is clear marked at 14". My concern is can this be an issue in the years to come legally?

Canada Ammo have you noticed this before?

Prediction Only: If the Liberals keep getting elected, then it will no doubt become an issue...be it next year, or a decade from now.
