Crumlin April 14th PCC match

[7.62mm]

There will be a PCC (Pistol Calibre Carbine) match at Crumlin Sportsman Association on Saturday April 14th.
Will be a mixture of steel and paper targets totalling 100ish rounds.
Will also be Semi auto Rimfire friendly, so if you have an AR that take 22 mags, or if you have a Ruger 10/22 with 4 or 5 10 round magazines, that would work also. Stages will have 32ish rounds per stage.
(For all the Cooey single shot rifle lovers out there, you may use those if you so choose, but there will be a 90 second par time on all stages)

Price tag will be $35, and a Practiscore sign up link will be posted in this post on Saturday morning.

There will also be porky goodness to consume after the match, when the stages are torn down and ranges cleaned up. (Nominal fee will apply)

90 sec/32 rounds = 2.81 sec per reload and shot.
I've modified my cooey for quad loads and have a 22lr shell belt.

You seem to be on a Stripper crusade lately, so I called the local Ballerina registry, and they only have Chocolate Thunder available for the 14th. Let me know if you want to book her, as we will have to rent a flat bed to get her to the club.

What "qualifications" are required for this event? Extreme rookie asking.

Generally speaking, we require people to be alive, and competent.
That being said, if you are an "Extreme Rookie", I suggest bring your firearm and equipment, but come to the match as a spectator, and ask competitors and the Range Officers questions about their gear and equipment. Observe what is going on, then decide if it's something you want to try.

We are trying to grow the shooting sports, so want new people to get involved.

Are there limitations on what type of gear is to be used, such as no magnetic mag pouches for example, or no drop leg platforms, or anything else that is not allowed? I've never been to a PCC specific match, just want to be sure I have the proper gear.

Magnetic mag pouches should be god to go, drop leg rigs for magazine pouches should be no problem either.
Chamber flags will be nescesary.

I don't agree with that at all. Show up and talk to people? Lol i got my restricted in Aug 2 years ago, got 3 guns and showed up to galts 3gun never having shot a match before and while I was the slowest person there but I had fun. I probably hadn't of shot more then 10 shots from my guns. Nobody died and I grew from there.

You don't want noobs, require people be ipsc holster qualified and show proof. All imo.

I've seen people having never shot before show up to a match shaking so bad they could barely get shots on target.

Observation before participation is definitely not a bad idea.

My first match was a breeze, but I did tons of dry and live firing before ever showing up to compete. Watched lots of training videos, etc, etc. it really comes down the individual

If anything he outlined the most accommodating answer. I took it to read as... "Bring your gear and see what's up first. Then, if your comfortable join in"
