Maccabee Defense SLR information and updates

To some meeting a deadline is a matter of principal. I work in an industry where if you don't make a deadline you can be fined thousands of dollars right down to the minute. For the gun industry, it seams delivery dates are meaningless dollar wise, not really how the rest of the world works when you are overdue.

It is the same for companies like Colt, FN, etc... Large contracts have dates that interfere with other aspects.
This is clear in the construction industry, and deadlines are important.

Foundation has a deadline so the framers can work,
Plumbers and electricians have to be done before the Drywall.

Same goes for the gun industry in many ways... large contracts, etc.

However, What you seem to be missing is that MDI is a small shop, and they only ever gave an estimate... Not a deadline.

Did you contact in for your SLR order a delivery date? I didn't think so.

I guess the people who talked to them and we're told dates should have got it in writing?

In today's day an age, doing business via a handshake or taking someone's spoken word as contract is meaningless. Only thing that will keep people somewhat accountable is signed contracts

A delivery estimate for a consumer product from a small business start-up is not really comparable to a deadline for a large industrial contract. A lot of startups miss deadlines. In hindsight, they should have just put an estimate of Q2 2018. It would have been more realistic. It is unfortunate for those who were planning to use for the competition season. For me, this was a summer project to play around with in July/august. It is still an exciting product with an FRT!

It was not an estimate, I was promised twice. Once before ordering and once after I ordered with information coming "directly from MDI"

I do not give a #### what I ordered whether it be non restricted or restricted. It is not acceptable to lie to your customer because you think your product is innovative

First BCL and now supposedly MDI, this isnt acceptable

I find this very hard to believe, as ALL of the corrospondance I have seen (Including my own order) said estimated delivery, Even MDI's social media said estimate...

Anybody who's been around long enough doesn't take a delivery date very serious regardless if it's an estimate or guarantee.

I have NEVER seen something anticipated by the Canadian shooting community even remotely arrive or be completed on time. It is usually 3 months + later.

Just received my email, for my place inline, my order is earliest late June. About another month later now

God damn. I knew I was being too optimistic with mid April. And at the rate I’m collecting parts I’ll have enough to complete two receivers by late June.
