Managed to find a 3rd gen S&W

That doesn't sound too bad. The one I shot was also very heavy, but felt really gritty too. May have just needed a darn good cleaning too...I wonder if Murray could smooth and lighten that like he does with revolvers?

I picked this up as a practice pistol so that my trigger finger gets a workout and keep me in tuned with a heavy trigger. I'll probably use this for CQB also as I find moving and shooting is better with a heavier trigger. Tried to move and shoot with my SA CZ and my shots were all over the place.

I've always done my tactical courses/shooting with my P226, once I got used to the DA/SA, it was as natural as breathing...now I hate DOA, I'm spoiled. I do ok with my Sigs though...IMG_20170709_152228.jpg

Haven't shot it yet, but working with dummies, it feels smooth but heavy. Not as heavy as my service pistol, but getting up there. Now I want a 5906

maybe a lighter mainspring would help. Wolff probably makes a reduced strength mainspring for these guns.
