looking for an optic to put on my S&W M&P Sport II for the use in 3gun, I find most of the 1-4x, 1-6x, etc... scopes in my price range have a fairly significant "fisheye" effect when used at the 1x magnification. from what I read the 1x will give a more instinctive transition from target to target but I can't get over the distorted image. my question here would be I guess would picking a 2-7x optic instead that has little to no fisheye really effect an instinctive transition or would it not be noticeable. my other option would be to mount a higher power optic ontop like a 4-12x for longer ranges and maybe offset some iron sights on a 45 for the closer targets. my club uses USPSA multigun rules so either situation works for tactical division, but just trying to get the feel for what option the more experienced shooters would pick:
A: 1-6x optic
B: 2-7x optic
C: 4-12x Optic w/ iron backups
