Anyone got some good pics taken during the Spanish Civil war other than the iconic one of the soldier falling after being shot. ? Particularly if they are about the Mac-Pap Brigade. I'm currently re-reading Hemingway's "For Whom The Bell Tolls" after watching it on TV recently.
Like Rhett Butler in "Gone With The Wind", I tend to like lost causes, especially after they are totally lost. The Spanish Civil War was a classic FUBAR, a veritable cluster f_uck of the highest order.
"Robert Jordan", the main character, an American volunteer fought for the Republic with a band of communist guerillas. He chose the communists as they had the best discipline and organization, not because he was a socialist.
