Could someone advise which bolt carriers work with the BCL102 gen2 with the factory barrel and factory gas tube?

My aeroprecision bolt carrier does not close
My aeroprecision bolt fits and headspace checks as well on the factory carrier.

The JP BCG would not work on mine because of gas tube, while some one else had no problem. I think the reason mine did not work was they put a rifle length gas tube when it should have been mid length, I think they just drilled out the gas key to allow the longer gas tube. BCL probably ran out of the proper gas tube and just MacGyvered it

The BCL bolt and carrier seems to work just fine in the BCL. Can someone explain the need or desire to change it?

problem with 10 round rob arms mags, using charging handle release, bolt will not close. using bolt release it closes, using magpul mags no issues. Something is dragging somewhere.

Seen a friend's Brownells BCG not fitting a Gen 2 BCL 102. Might be bumping into a gas tube. He didn't try to remove the bolt and use it in a factory BCL carrier

i removed the gas key from the BCL bolt carrier and I put it on the aeroprecision bolt carrier. The aeroprecision bolt carrier still would not close with the bcl gas key.

the brownels bolt carrier used to fit the gen1, so they changed something again in the gen2

are the brownells bcg any good? They seem to be the lowest price i found, and the titanium nitride looks pretty nice

Dude I think a BCG made in china in some basement by hand will be of better quality than anything NEA makes :)

I had a Brownells BCG and it was 10x nicer than the bolt I found inside my 102

you had a bolt in yours?

I had something that looked like a piece of rebar

jokes aside, the Brownells BCG is good. I have the black nitride one and it worked in my 2.0 102. I headspace checked mine.

Rifle is with BCL at the moment, will sell it when I get it back. I'm 'stuck' with the bcg now... huh

You had. I have.

In (my) Gen 1, the Brownells BCG passed the Go/No Go gauges. Went out to shoot, turned the rifle into a POS. Ejection failures and light primer strikes abundant. Had my original BCL BCG on hand, so switched it out at the range. Back to fully functional operation.

Might look nicer, but in my specific case, the Brownells BCG is currently a paperweight. Suggest any other users take that with a grain of salt, as YMMV.

For the time being, I'm running with the original BCG, until I can get down and take some measurements, and figure what is up.

haha alright. i may end up purchasing a barrel and bcg from brownells. Shipping shouldnt be too bad to major cities? and in addition to the price i pay at the store. im expecting to pay taxes from customs too?

Going to need an export permit for the barrel. They let you add it and send the email notification the next day.
