Anyone have experience with this model? I find all rangefinders work well off buildings, trees etc but I would like to know what kind of ranges one can expect off coyotes, deer etc....

I am considering one but would like to hear about the 2700's ranging capabilities first. Whatever new rangefinder I end up buying it will be replacing a Vectronix PLRF so my expectations are quite high. I owned a Leica 1200 at one point and if my memory serves me correct it was a pretty nice little rangefinder. Any 2700 owners care to chime in?

Ive never owned a rangefinder yet and I’ve been eying the Leica 2700 as well. Looks like the Best Buy from the other nicer ones price wise anyhow

ZAZ, I sold it to a local ELR shooter.

I did end up buying a 2700B. Just had it in my hands for the first time yesterday. Conditions were a little hazy and the Leica struggled. I'll try again once conditions change and report back here with a mini review.

Interested to hear about the Leica, I am looking to buy a good rangefinder but am not sure what to get.
I have borrowed a few different rangefinders including the Sig kilo2000, Bushnell fusion, Bushnell 1500, and the G7 BR2. I am not sold by any of them yet, waiting to find the perfect one.

Well, it doesn't get any better than Vectronix. Where my 2700B was struggling yesterday in the hazy conditions on anything past 1300 yards the PLRF15 would have ranged everything. Apples to oranges comparison both in price and performance though. I read somewhere that Vectronix is coming out with another Terrapin. Might be worth your time to do some digging around about that.

As far as the 2700B goes I did get one hit on a tree line at 1940 yards (wasn't repeatable), a coyote at almost 700 yards, and consistent ranging on most things out to about 1300 yards in the haze yesterday. My 2700B's laser is pretty much centered in the reticle. Once we get some decent weather I'll be out again testing.

Conditions have improved over the last few days. Off a tripod I was able to range a coyote out to 1173 yards, tree lines out to 2556 yards. If you buy one of these rangefinders a tripod adapter is a must. To be honest, I don't understand why Leica doesn't bundle their adapter in with the rangefinder. So far I'm pretty satisfied with the 2700B's ranging capabilities. Next step is to figure out the ballistic program that it comes with.

Thanks for the input....much appreciated...I had a vectronix plrf15c as well...Once you have used a vectronix all the others are like toys in comparison...ranging a deer at 2000 yards with a vectronix is child's play...
