What are the options available for pistol magazine extensions? Anything else out there other then GSdesigns 3D printed extensions?

Id also like to try a coupler but seems everywhere I know that sells them are out of stock

Don't need coupler imo. I ran my with just paint cover tape (2 layers or so) and then electrical/duct tape on top (cut to fit and do few round) firm as hell on my MFT/E-lander 10rders I even use them at 2Gun match. I cover paint cover tape first because it won't leave nasty residual like electrical/duct tape. I have the GS Design extension for all my CPD LAR15 but just because I have ordered them a long time ago.

Don't need, but want them regardless.....I have one GSdesigns, just want to see if there is anything else out there before I buy more of the same

USGI ranger plates will work and are a lot more ergonomic and faster than trying to juggle a coupled mag.

Thanks I was not aware they made them to fit the LAR mag, I see they are pretty cheap too for $29 a 3 pack. Probably give those a try also

** Actually $22.99 per 3pack at local gun shop for sure will try these out

huh?

USGI ranger plates is the way to go. Easy to grab onto, easy to use as a shooting rest and great to tap home a closed bolt.

You may find getting that last round in a bit tight once the Ranger Plate is attached so while you have them disassembled, sand down the follower legs 1-2 mills.

just ordered 2 of the GSdesigns ones, are they any good?

I like the fact they have the same shape as the rest of the magazine body, so they look like a full size 30rd mag. The print is a little rough, I have seen some better printing these days now that 3D printing it getting better. And I am a little skeptical about how strong the little tabs are that lock them into the bottom of the mag. So I only bought the one to try out

I just got LAR mags for 5.56, so I originally bought the GS designs extender for LAR mags in 7.62x39 that I had which I do not use nearly as often as 5.56 mags will.

Your spot on with this, got some today and they are super tight on the last round, will try the follower mod
