Hi guys
I was wondering what guys have found to be the most accurate bullet out of a 44 magnum for reloading, campro, berry???
Never reloaded for a 44 mag. was going to try 2400, standard primers and campro 240 gr.??
I want to get the most out of this gun for accuracy, with bulk bullets?
I know XTP's are very accurate but pricy...

Campros I find mediocre in all my guns but cheap for plinking, the most accurate bullet across the board for me is bullet barns 300gr cast, but that's for handguns, some rifles Marlin 1894 doesn't have a fast enough twist to stabilize them

I use the campro 44mag 240gr bullets in my 44-40, they are real cheap and work very well for the price. I also use 2400 or titegroup to push them along. I have some 300gr sierras that shoot very well but too costly for shooting paper imo

The 240gr cast from the bullet barn run about 86$/500 so about 5 bucks more than campro, and IMHO they are far superior to campro, don't get me wrong I buy campro when I get a good deal sometimes you can get 500 240gr campro for 65$

I've had good results with Campro. But also with Sierra, Hornaday, Montana Bullet, Winchester, Speer and Nosler. Bullet choice is definitely not the limiting factor for my shooting.

I'm happy with the Campro 240 gr TMJ TC bullets, experimented with IMR 4227 powder starting with 22gr to 23.5gr. My 12" barrel Henry Big Boy likes 22.5gr of IMR 4227, 50 yards... 1/2" group and gets me 1354 fps.

Please add your location to your profile. DRG makes excellent 240gr Cast bullets for $80/1000, but I can't refer you to a source because I don't know where you are.

I use 2400 for medium to medium hot 44mag loads.

What are you going to shoot them with and how far do you want to stay accurate? If you're gonna shoot <25 yards with a revolver, then campro should be good enough, especially if you're not using a handrest. Longer range with a rifle then more accurate bullets might help. If shooting a desert eagle then cast bullets are off the table.

I've never had leading issues but make sure my bullets are sized properly, bullet barn can do 430 and 431

I like Campros + mid level Blue Dot loads for plinking grade .44M , the 200gn XTP’s + H110 have given me best accuracy, and the 300gn Sierras + max load H110 for grins ‘n giggles (all through a 7.5” Redhawk YMMV).
