1897 Cimarron from IRUNGUNS

They're a polytech which is a Norinco. They will brand whatever name you want on them. They're a decent gun I have one of the Marstar branded ones. They come up quite often on the EE for $400ish. A lot of the cowboy shooters use them. They smooth out with use, but like all 97's they are fiddly and temperamental. There are about a million little parts on them.

They are remakes of the original, in china, imported and sold by the texas company Cimarron, same ones that Marstar brought in a few years ago, sold out fast.

Cheers for the info

I saw a 97 a couple of weeks ago on the EE, but after reading on the differences between it and a model 12, went for the model 12.

I might still get a 97, just because, well, shotguns :)

Ya model 12 is a nice rig, Ive always wanted a copy of an 1897< my buddy had a polytech same as my new Cimarron and it was so good, that's why I bought this one, couldn't be happier

I have one of the ones marstar brought in and it's served me well. Locktite is a good idea after you detail strip it. Slamfires loosened some screws on me after a while.

Does anyone know what make of chokes they use? I can't find anywhere that says.
