I'm currently looking for a Tikka T3x drop-in target stock, I know that Cadex, McMillan and Bell & Carlson manufacture them and would like a recommendation based on experience.
I previously used an Accuracy International Stage 2.0 Remington 700 drop-in stock, was extremely satisfied with it and I'm looking for something similar for Tikka T3x now.

I use a B&C M40 pattern stock for my T3 Varmint and I think it’s a great stock. Super rigid and the fit/finish is on par with my McMillan. It’s not a dedicated target gun so I wanted something that I could hunt with also, this fits the bill nicely and it was very reasonably priced.

If you really like the AI, take a look here : http://alt.roedale.de/epages/riflecomponents_stocks_roedale_RCS2_TikkaT3.htm

The B&C new Target stock looks really nice, especially at that price. Typical B&C good quality/fit and finish.
I had a couple of their stock and the ratio quality vs price always been good.
Prophet River is a B&C importer and may have a few in stock.

McMillan stock are awesome but pricey and you usually have to wait several months to get them.
From what I saw ( from my own eyes and on other forums ) in the last year or two, the quality control is not the best.

There is also Manners, which is maybe a bit better than McMillan these days ( in terms of QC ) but similar cost and wait time.

Cadex, I never had one but people seems to love them. Looks like a quality chassis system and its made in Canada.
I don't know if you need to bed the action into their chassis but if not, the resale value must be good.

Thanks for the input, I've ordered a black Cadex Defense LITE Competition chassis.
I should be getting it in 4 to 6 weeks and will post a follow up message about it.

I really the new Bravo stock !

+ 1

I now have both Cadex and KRG products. KRG is extremely well made for the price / functionality / value buy. Cadex is almost art when it comes to fit / finish / functionality but you pay for it in dollars and weight. Think carefully about what you want and make a purchase accordingly.

Curious for feedback on use of these chassis systems for hunting? How well do they handle in the field? Are comfortable for offhand shooting? I like traditional stocks but I am always open to alternatives,

Thoughts?

I was told they are heavier and colder to the touch since they are usually aluminum and plastic.
