Hunting shows. Whatcha wachin?

I've enjoyed several episodes of Meat Eater, Solo Hunter( with Remy) and also several of Relentless Pursuit with Tim Wells. Not saying I necessarily share their core values or want to be like them or hunt like them. But there are moments of adventure/testing I can identify with. That Tim and Remy push themselves in hard places on difficult hunts is cool. And Tim is an amazing shot with that bow....

I gave up a long time ago.Used to like Canada in the Rough when Thomas Pigeon was on but not anymore.

I watched CITR when Pigeon was host and looked forward to meeting him, until I actually met him and came to the conclusion he's a self righteous pompous a55hat.

Had Wild TV for a few months before dumping it. Now I am limited to Canada in the Rough, The Canadian Tradition, and Angler and Hunter TV. Not great, but better than nothing.

This thread made me realize how much I really dislike Wild TV... Started off ok but has gone steadily downhill, more than half their shows now peddle ultra low quality Chicom stuff or overpriced over-engineered worm buckets. Cancelled them yesterday, will get everything I need from YouTube and when they ban all hunting/gun related shows I'll start going to that naughty video sharing site where some gun channels have already transferred to.

I still have WildTV....but really only watch wingshooting shows when ever they happen to be on. Hired to Hunt with Claudio Ongaro and the fellows at Zink calls have a good shows that I enjoy watching. The camera work on the Avian X series is incredible. Love the slow video footage where you can distinctly see the shot patterns make contact with the waterfowl.

Quit watching TV (not just outdoor shows) about 15 years ago and have no regrets.

I've been in my house for 30 years and had a TV for six months about 29 years ago when an exchange student we had for a while needed it for school.

Watch this tell me it's not better than any "horn ####"hunting show on TV

Horn ####. That’s freakin awesome! I wish I had thought of it. I’m disgusted by the shows that feature a guy that makes the shot, then immediately gushes over the rack. One show years ago had a guy that immediately whipped out a tape measure. A tape measure. I’d carry a weigh scale, if anything.

I remember a couple of years ago an episode where Tim Wells was stalking a sleeping cape buffalo in Mozambique. He snuck in close enough to stick it with a spear, and the PH was much too far away to be of any help if things went wrong. My respect for him went up several notches after seeing that. The guy is a phenomenal bowshot.

I like Jim Shockey's hour-long show, Uncharted, but I can do without the 1/2 hr infomercial with his air-head daughter.

I like Tim wells shows and Cody Robbins and his big buddy that has that other whitetail show.
They are good hunters.
Can't stand anything else... chest thumping, and wiredlile they're all hopped up on blow....
I've come to enjoy bill winkes online episodes and the ones put out by his associates. Heartland bowhunter is one i uses to like but don't see it around much.

I wander the halls of youtube and watch all sorts of trapping and hunting videos. I like watching 'thewildnorth" a young guy from NWT has had his channel going since 2010, good channel very informative.

Yeah, he’s from here in Hay River. He’s hard core. Unlike most “reality” shows he actually lives exactly like it looks on his channel.
