Has anyone ever had their 12.5" Dlask barrel threaded for choke tubes? Is it doable or not worth the trouble. Thought it would make for a very handy turkey gun if only it was choked tightly.

you can get a great pattern that is suitable for turkey hunting.it takes some experimenting with chokes and different loads . it is worth the effort to get it tapped and any competent gun smith or machine shop would be able to do it .it works for me and mine came already threaded for Remington chokes.

The dlask barrels are the thickest (and heaviest) out there. Any gunsmith can thread for most commonly available chokes, just decide what brand you want to use. Most gunsmiths list prices for choke threading in their brochures or website, $150 sounds about right

Yes, the Dlask are thick & heavy. However, the thickest & heaviest is the NEA barrel. Now that sucker is a real beast.
