What to do with New Swiss Arms

I just picked up a new SANs Black special rifle, and I am curious on first steps before shooting it. I do not own many Black Rifles or semi autos , do I just run a patch through the Barrel and I am good to go? Do I need to do a more detailed Strip down on the rifle? What does general maintenance look like for the rifle. Any Info would be greatly appreciated

I don't have a swiss unfortunately, but the same rules apply to any new gun.

Do a full detailed strip and give everything a really good clean. Most firearms come with a layer of oil that acts as a corrosion inhibitor but does not lubricate well. Wipe everything you can with a good oil and run a patch or two down the bore as well.

After cleaning, lubricate with lubrication of your choice. Re-assemble and hit the range.

i always cleaned / oiled before using any new firearm - also do a barrel break in procedure at the range - 20 rounds in an hour and a half

Mine was brand new and had a small Mark from the test firing.

Consider putting some thicker rubberized (electrical or pipeline) tape behind the ejection port, otherwise the ejected cases will wear the finish off the reciever there.

Depends on weather you prefer wear or tape on your rifle.

Hope I have enough time to shoot it that wear would appear (C-71). All joking aside, I think I may put the tape on I try to take care of my stuff( not saying people don't tape are not) I like keeping the finish in best shape as possible
