Savage 10 Bolt Head

I had a primer blow today and its put a couple of pits in the bolt face.

This is a little more than I would call etching and I think I need to change out the bolt head. Does anyone have a source for Savage 10 standard bolt heads.

Isn't the Savage bolt sold as having a ring (ie the bolt handle base) that prevents gas blowback? I'd get the company involved, if only for the satisfaction of telling them "something" happened.

Its not Savage fault. I have put north of 1500 rounds on that bolt face with no problem. I don't think their bolt design guarantees against blown primers.

I just want to buy the part and get back to shooting my 308.

I purchased 3 Savage bolt faces through Brownells a couple years back.

Had been watching thier website for a while (at the time they were always sold out), when they were available I got the three I wanted for a future switch barrel system.

Grizzly and PTG both sell them I bought one from PTG a few years ago and they shipped here no issue then.
