I finally picked up an SAS 10.5 Upper yesterday, and will eventually get a full complete CC lower, I have all other CC parts used for other builds including stripped lowers. But These SAS models should be flying off the shelf’s right now, forget all the other brands.

I have to say right now we are in a Golden age for Canada, which might be ending. Yeah the introduction of CC to the market didn’t go as it should have. But what they are pumping out are awesome rifles and Nordic Marksmen prices are actually pretty good for what you are getting. You get everything you want in these rifles. These are Truly real Mil-spec guns and are the closest to real issue rifles out there for the AR line.

I honestly don’t think most civilians truly appreciate what goes into a CC AR rifle.

Let me know your thoughts.

I bought one about a year or so ago and love it. I put the 10.5" upper on my CC SA20 lower that I've had for a while. Changed the grip to an Ergo and put a Magpul CTR stock on it. I use a Trijicon MRO on top. A lot of guys on here say the Daniel Defence AR is better. I have't shot one so I can't say but I do like this SAS model.

Way overrated.

OK, I will bite. Overrated compared to what? in what department? If you said overpriced, you have an arguement.

Barrels are superior, I challenge you to find a CL HF barrel that is better.
Fit and finish? as good or better than most TDP guns, especially the SA line.
KAC isn't TDP so it doesnt count (E3 system) but even KAC fit and finish is far from perfect.

About the only point you could make is performance for the price. Sure, cheaper carbines/ rifles will perform fairly well for cheaper. (PSA, AERO, Stag, BCM etc)
DD, Noveske are all in the price range of CC

If it is pure fit and finish you are talking about, then no, CC are not "gucci" guns.

Gucci guns: Those AR15 carbine or rifle platforms bought for showing off and sitting in the safe. May or may not ever actually be used in anyway shape or form to train, compete or otherwise induce wear on the parts. Also been known to make owner cry if it ever falls over, kisses the safe or has minor defect found after purchase.

OK what about the stripped lowers were they a contract over run? Guys snapped them up at $400 as they were limited run never going to see them again . Then surprise we have more. I picked up two at $200 each and now all you want at $249

That was a contract overrun. You can’t seriously hold that against CC. I know it burns. But that was like arm sales after the Cold War ended deal.

Sure.... hard to believe what CC says anymore based on their poor advertising record. Lots of guys got burnt with their “limited run” 30th anniversary rifles, IUR’s uppers, lowers etc.

Shady or not, I'm looking forward to my SAS upper should be here this week.

This is a bit of an aspect I don't understand about consumers, especially of the firearm variety.
Here we are, demanding freedoms to do as we safely see fit with our guns, yet when a business in a free market attempts to maximize their profits, something they're free to do, people lose their minds and claim foul play.
This is how the free market works, I can charge 500 dollars for my piece of milled steel if I want to. If you don't like it, go buy Gregs piece of milled steel for 250. Just because you want my goods, doesn't mean I owe it to you.

If CC was smart, they'd boost their civilian sales and lower their prices, but the big thing to remember is they're not a civilian based business. Their bread and butter is selling guns to governments who send hard men and women to shoot people in the face, not to supply average joe at a 3 gun match. I mean, they could always just throw us the shaft again and refuse civi sales again.

If you want affordable, go buy an M&P sport.
If you want bling, go buy something from Warsport or Jesse James.
If you want something just for the sake of wanting it, such as myself wanting to build a CC rifle, shut up and pay the piper.

Hey I agree with a lot of the sentiments. But that’s “yesterday's Wind” and the great Zeebus((friend of Mine likes too Says)) so what can you do. Yeah the dealers changed and things have moved on.

I think a lot of you guys fooled Your selfs. So what can you do. Its the past.

It's different than offering an item for a price and people buying it of their on free will. But when items get released and advertised as limited run or there wont be getting anymore and then 6 months later tons more get released for sale at half the price is deceitful. They controlled the market price by making claims of limited availability .

But who exactly was (THEY) ? Korth? Its in the past now, things have moved on.

Also what does any of this have to with the production model Colt SAS line?

Your right Colt Canada knew nothing about it and was totally unaware that any of this was happening. Because they don't look at what their distributors were doing or how they were advertising their products and they didn't set any of the MSRP. Really

Don't be so cheeky friend.. Lots of bad employees in every company and CC is new to the civilian market. Things have improved and Nordic Marksmen & North Silva are doing fantastic job.

They are and North Sylva has introduced a new limited run of the SA 20 Colt Canada rifles numbered from 1 - 200. Where have I heard this before? This is a different limited edition of the SA20 from the previously released limited edition of the SA 20 . You really need to collect them all
