Thanks Ryan.

I was surprised everything was to spec on this one :)

That looks sharp.
Does this mean you are fully back over to the dark side with restricted guns?

Can someone show how you installed the ambi bolt release? Mine works but it seems strange that the release sticks out on the right side and is not flush with the receiver. Is this by design?

So I installed it this way (from left to right): bolt catch > nea ambi pin > regular bolt catch spring > ambi bolt catch

Found this as reference... BCL Badger. I guess that's how it's designed...

mine installed the same way. it sticks out a bit. and im not actually a big fan of it. i keep mistaking it for the mag release and if i hold the bolt open and close the dust cover to set my rifle down and then when i put a mag in and hit the ambi bolt release the dust cover slams into my finger right on the nail which hurts like hell. but for a cheaper entry level lower its not that bad.

How about mags? Do they drop free?

Gotta say NEA has improved a lot since their first few years but things like tolerence and final QC still need some work.

Ryan can you tell us what the screw thread pitch is for the tension screw? I was surprised to see it there but it's good to get a tight fit with the upper.
