Barnes 140 TTSX 7mm issues. Help :)

Define lots of tension.;) if you can put the case head against the heel of your palm and the bullet against the front of your bench, and push as hard as you can and not budge it you have enough. If you shove it in you don't .

I always try that method, but not using all my strength.
I’m a pretty strong guy. :) and am concerned about pushing it in.:)

But I’ll give it a go.

OK ,I just pushed it against the bench frame(2x6). The bullit pierced the wood about 3/16 of an inch and left a indent of the rim in my palm.

Seems like lots of tension to me

It seems odd that this is happening at the point where the groove is partially inside the edge of the neck.
Is it possible that I’m not resizing the entire neck?
They’re 3x fired 7 mm R-P brass

I’ve read that when the brass gets overly hardened from multiple uses, it gets harder to resize, to correct specs.
And to correct that issue, you should run em through twice.

There is some stretch in the case neck, so when a grooved bullet is seated, the neck will be very slightly smaller where it is over a groove.
