My P14 sporter stock has the typical problem. At some point one of the previous owners pared the forend down to a toothpick in order to get a weight saving for hunting. Seems extra bubba stocks are not a common thing these days judging from the dearth of them in the EE. I was thinking of stripping the forend & securing some pieces of walnut carved to fit the existing forestock profile to get something more in line with the forend on the old BSA conversions.

Probably better to get a spare P14 bubba stock & go from there?
 
Rifle stocks put pressure on the barrel in unexpected places. Trying to replicate the exterior profile of the stock without knowing what should happen inside the stock, is asking for erratic behaviour. And, some of those pieces just aren't worth the trouble to whittle with your jackknife - even if it is fun.
 
If you are not trying to reproduce the full wood stock and you just want to shoot the gun (they are pretty accurate) Boyd sells stocks for them...

lots of sporter stocks around ,should be easy to find.The cost to ship one would be more than the stock value so if you could find one local that would be a bonus.
 
I have a sportered P14 stock, 31 inches long, came from a rifle I scrapped. Still has the steel buttplate.

I'm a long way from NS, but it's yours if you'll pay the postage.
