Bought several Garand clips about a year ago. Most of them will not load into my rifle and the rounds that I managed to load into the clip are very tight. On inspection the clips seem bent inward more than the few that do function ok. Has anyone else had this problem and is it easily fixed?

Are they new production or original clips? Ive seem soft edges on new production unmarked clips that only worked with a clip latch in near NOS condition. You could try to file the edge of the clip to get a more defined edge for the clip latch to sit in.
What makers mark is on the back of the clip? I had some issues with DAQ marked clips.
Whats the condition of the tip of the clip latch arm where the clip locks in place?
And hopefully you don't have a dreaded re-weld where the alignment of the receiver halves is out to lunch.

.
Try loading the clip so that the first round is on the left bottom and the last round is on the right top. This will also help with loading because it gives a bit of a lip for the thumb to press the clip into the magazine.

post markings on clips there are some crappy ones out there the new production AEC work fine in my 5 garands as do the DAQ mentioned above I have 300+ clips and never had a bad one....

will the clips fit into rifle empty? remove oprod spring so you can try this easy

look like original

Got them figured out. I put the bent clips over the right angle edge of my steel loading bench and gave them all a firm push inward and the mouth opened up to accept the rounds as they should. They loaded flawlessly into my Garand!!!!!!!!!!!! If we ever have to go to war again against the AXIS I have about 35 enbloc clips :).

Good tip. Helped with mine.
