That entirely depends on which LMT model. They produce a traditional AR a la the barrel nut, but also offer the MRP - Monolithic Rail Platform, which has the quick change feature... the back end of the barrel and extension on the MRPs barrel is different to accommodate the quick the change feature etc.

there are a few barrels in 18.6" such as Maple Ridge Armoury and S&J Hardware.
I've emailed MDI to ask if they're still on track, buyers will get emailed updates with their projected ship dates
I can't find anything new from them.... there is a picture of some very incomplete lowers but that is old news.

The swapping receiver before C-71 kicks in were meant to other users.
Not sure if there will be a registry or not, so why not exchange them before the laws passes?

Before the law passes there is no requirement to keep records - so why swap them. Not sure that I'm following you. If there are no records, before the law passes what good does swapping them do? And if they don't ship until after the law passes - it's too late and not possible under the law.

Is that huge takedown bolt suppose to represent a final production solution? Looks kind of pedestrian...

All joking aside, I will reserve judgement until the final production units become available.
I think that's the takedown pin kit. The bolt looked to be hidden away cleanly. If the pin kit does come exactly like that I would probably grind the head shorter and hit it with a coat of black paint. That being said I don't think there is anything wrong with the initial idea of a bolt
They would ask for the serial number you dont have anymore.
