Called this morning to see if the range was busy, was informed that associate members are no longer allowed to use the rifle range on weekends. No notification at all that they were changing the terms of use that were in place when I bought my membership. I bought the associate membership to see how the range was managed before I purchased a full membership, guess I found out. Consumer beware!!

Oh please, if you show up at TSE with a Swiss arms, JR will be on the phone to the RCMP so fast to inform them and provide your info, serial number, political affiliations, etc... I hear he has his own direct line now to the RCMP since he's been so helpful to them in the past.

It's shorter than TSE's rifle bay, but the CSC has a cleaner facility and have plenty of bays. I've never had to call in advance. Member or not, just show up and shoot.

Just how far does a business have to go before people stop supporting them. Jr Cox is trying to find out.
I’m no fan of that business, but how about keeping criticism to a companies actual legitimate wrongs? If the members who paid full price can’t get in on the busy days because of associate members taking up the bays, do you think those full members are getting reasonable value out of the price they paid? There has to be some differential in benefits between a discount membership and a full blown membership or nobody would pay the full price. Perhaps this change happened in response to complaints from full members who weren’t getting value from their fees when such things would happen.

Oi. Another TSE bashing thread.
They have made it so that only full members and unlicensed guests with an RO can use the rifle range on the weekends. This is because full members pay $600 for a membership and have come on a weekend where it's all full with morons with their SKS dumping rounds downrange with their bros. I would be pissed off too. I think it's a good idea, keep the loyal full members happy first.
You spend $80 a year for a membership mostly to own Restricted guns, which is a nice option they provide instead of the full $600. What? You want a private reserved bay and bathroom stall too?
This^. OP, have you contacted the executive to see why this change was brought about? Maybe CaberTosser is right. It would have been nice if they had advised everyone before hand, but there may also be a valid reason for that as well. Could be as simple as human error, communications person being ill or having a family emergency.
