Calgary shooting center is a joke dont bother with that place
They have made it so that only full members and unlicensed guests with an RO can use the rifle range on the weekends. This is because full members pay $600 for a membership and have come on a weekend where it's all full with morons with their SKS dumping rounds downrange with their bros. I would be pissed off too. I think it's a good idea, keep the loyal full members happy first.
You spend $80 a year for a membership mostly to own Restricted guns, which is a nice option they provide instead of the full $600. What? You want a private reserved bay and bathroom stall too?
Oi. Another TSE bashing thread.

Called this morning to see if the range was busy, was informed that associate members are no longer allowed to use the rifle range on weekends. No notification at all that they were changing the terms of use that were in place when I bought my membership. I bought the associate membership to see how the range was managed before I purchased a full membership, guess I found out. Consumer beware!!
What exactly is the problem? It looks like you got precisely what you deserve, for dealing with jr.
The poor ethics are on you!
To the OP: stop playing a cry baby, - get yourself a full membership.
I understand the op side of things . He bought a membership with x amount of privileges and part way through the membership the privileges were cut. His membership should stay with the original privileges and when it runs out ,it’s his choice to bump to receive better options. It’s only good business to honour the original contract unless there is fine print in the contract he signed or on the back of the membership card
It is irrelevant if TSE sent out the changes in an email or even called all of their associate members personally and informed them about the changes. Unless there is a clause in the associate membership contract giving TSE the ability to alter or change the contract, TSE is bound to honour the agreement the buyer signed. If TSE then changes the terms, they have breached the contract. Civil contract law is very clear, TSE would be liable for damages, which would be a prorated sum of the associate membership.
Telus tried to do the same to me a few years ago. I was getting paper statements included in my contract then one day they simply started charging me a $2 paper statement fee claiming they were going green. My call to customer service was simple, “my contract includes paper statements, this new fee is a breach of my contract, are you now prepared to release me from my contract?” Needless to say the $2 fee and credit for ones charged was immediately implemented until my contract expired.
Is their range authorized by the CFO for the discharge of a prohibited rifle?
Asking for a friend.
