Are Mosins allowed on this thread?

Definitely a Red rifle! Made in Russia, 1945. First time shooting it in a few years. My friend has a Mosins sniper and a few Mosins infantry rifles, he thought my carbine was pretty unusual. Anybody else have a carbine style with bayonet attached? First time linking pics, hope they work.

YOu have an M44 carbine of Russian vintage. Nice shooter and makes a heck of a flame at dark.

I hunt , shoot, and collect many Mosin rifles. The best thing about X54r ammunition is that it feeds the whole family; M38, M44, 91/30, and SVT40.

I own both the 91/30 and M34 carbine. Love them both! Have plenty of clips but they don’t work really well for me, maybe it’s just me- I dunno.

try out westrifle. though personally i havent found 7.62x54r stripper clips have worked that well

Make sure there not cheap Norinco stripper clips in my exp they are lower quality metal and do not fit as well as military originals. At least o have that issue with my Svt40's and Mosins

Yes - once you have them stacked in the clip so they won't rim lock, insert in gun, get your index finger between the first and second round, lift the first round up to around a 40 deg angle and push down with your thumb on top close to the rim end.

I'll add to the chorus about the ones that Corwin-Arms carries. I've had a few different flavors of 54R stripper clips, the ones he carries are hands down the easiest to work with and most reliable.

I suggest eBay. Cheaper hah. I found Lee Enfield clips 15 for 20 Canadian, and lately some mosin ones for 7 dollars for 4

These are the Corwin Arms stripper clips. Notice how they are one solid piece of steel with no cut outs, just a retaining lip.

These are the NC Star clips you can find pretty much anywhere. I have these clips, and I'm not a huge fan of how they hold ammo. Lots of people say they have issues with them.

Given that there is no difference in price, just go with the ones from Corwin. I got the NC Star ones before I knew there was a difference, but i'll be replacing them soon.
