Affordable 260 Rem ammo?

Hard to come by in stores the last while, i came across a box of Nosler 120 Ballistic tips for 44.00 at cabelas the other month, I impulse bought it just because, Al Simmons in Hamilton Ontario ships, and a box of 129gr sst was 42 and change last summer,

Yes, I bought two boxes of Nosler 120gr that were decent but expensive and then found some brass and dies. I loaded up 50 Match Kings that easily shoot sub-moa out of my little Ruger Compact. Boy, was I surprised when that happened. Hopefully I can find a hunting bullet that'll shoot that well.
I do reload. And I know I can do that cheap. Just wanted to see if anyone knew of cheap factory.
Questions to prospective gun buyers.

Are you aware of the availability of that ammo? Have you compared prices for that ammo?
Have you checked what is being stocked at your LGS?

I doubt the levels of production by the major manufacturers of 260 Remington will ever eclipse 243, 7mm RM, 308, 30-06 or 338.
As a past owner of a 260 it remains one of the items checked for and sometimes there isn't any. Similarly there is a lack of stock in rifles for this caliber.
Don't get me wrong as it is a great round and for the reloader there are ample bullets available for the reloader.
My 280, 25-06 and 260 never saw a factory loaded round at lead not until someone gave me some for the 25-06!
Not much point in buying a mouse trap recommended by a friend if you ain't got no mice!

Thats why I reload for this gun, I was fully aware of the ammo availability issues. I just wanted to know if anyone knew of cheep ammo. But thanks for the over the top response.
I am not sure there is ammo for the 260 that falls under the classification of "affordable". I have been a 260 owner for over ten years now, and reload almost everything I have ever shot in them. I do have some factory ammo for it, Federal Gold Medal Match, Hornady Match, and Prime that a fellow from the US left for me at a course we shot together. All of the match ammo I sourced locally was well over $40 a box, which I guess on how deep your pockets are could be thought of as affordable but it isn't to me. I just checked a sponsor site and they only had two loads, both Nosler, both hunting loads, the cheapest was $57/box of 20, the other was $65/box of 20. Even the few rare times I have seen Remington hunting loads for the 260 it was like $40 a box, I will leave it there for that!

A few years ago common calibers cheapest grey box Winchester or Federal ammo was $23-25. Now even that is $30+. Affordable is relative, to the Kanadian peso, to whom is sitting in the big chair in the USA.
For years I limited myself to 3 reloader only rifles. That's hard to do now. Sounds like the 260 is approaching that, or at least factory ammo in your preferred brand of brass is now the only reason to buy factory.
Course the economy of scale of producing factory ammo for a fringe caliber is one of the reasons for the price. Chicken and the egg or self fulfilling prophecy.
