Retriever training, gun dog clubs in Yorkton Saskatchewan area

I don't know of anyone around the Yorkton area. I used to shoot clays with a yellow lab breeder in Clavet, he was big into hunt tests and waterfowling. They might be able to get you some more information about what clubs are around your area. Bigsky Labradors was the kennel name, Ross is a good guy, took me on my first Prairie Snow goose hunt over some of his dogs.
 
Saskatoon Retriever Club is the closest that i know of for enthusiasts of the retrievers. And the Saskatoon Gun Dog Club for those who prefer the European Versatile breeds. Winnipeg has some too, but can't help with specifics. Good luck.
 
I was just thinking if there would be enough interest I would go talk to the mine and lease a couple 1/4s of land east of Yorkton , there is about 8 or 10 1/4s that are real wetland type of land that isn't leased and the land guy said if I could get enough interest they would be willing to discuss something
to help start up a new retriever club ,
but no one seems to show any interest in it so oh well their loss
