I just traded for this rifle 1987 Ruger M77 ultra light 22-250, walnut stock and 20" barrel, rifle is mint, 2 little nics in the wood and bluing and bore all look new, even the bolt face looks new, very light rifle about 6 pounds. Seeing that I can't keep any of my guns I was wondering what it would be worth, I am thinking 700 to 750

The only downside is that most 22-259s, especially the older ones, have very slow twists that don't tend to stabilize longer/heavier bullets very well. Now, if you're content with 55gr bullets, life is grand. But if you want to take advantage of the case capacity to push heavy bullets (say, if you live in a 22-cal-for-big-game area) you might be disappointed.

Still, $700 is a pretty fair price. You'll probably get that eventually.

What else you got? And why can't you keep any of your guns?
