Solid Copper Projectiles

All the people asking for heavy bullets... you realize they'd be huge, right? Being solid copper the bullets are much longer than their lead cored counterparts. A 400gr .458" bullet would be the size of a 550+ grain lead core bullet. The Barnes 180gr .308's I have are longer than the Hornady 208gr AMAX I have. I can only imagine how long a 75gr .224" solid copper would be.

Probably close to tracer length. 1:7 should stabilize.

Edit. Copper has a higher density than steel so not terrible.

When I was offered a 45-70 lever, first thing I did was search for copper ammunition. None to be found.
Since I haven't started reloading yet, I passed on the rifle. I was hoping Barnes made the ammunition, but they only offer projectiles.
Just to say, if you make ammo, you may have cornered a small market. (new competing rounds like the bushmaster, socom, etc haven't caught on yet)

a lighter say 110 or so grain bullet or even a 123gr in .311 for the 7.62X39 for hunting would be nice to use out of the bolt rifles. Also some .311 for the .303 British as well.

I am assuming these would be expanding bullets like a Barnes that you are having made? Or just a solid copper pointed tip?
