In the efforts of “spreading the cause”, I paid for a friend’s RPAL. Now she wants to find the best budget AR lower receiver.

What say you folks?

Just received a FDE NEA Lower from SFRC. Bought a few things from them. They are great there.

Aero lower for $99. Better build quality than NEA and much better reputation. Saskatoon Gunworks still has them I think.

Yup, got one and finished my build.. Aero makes good stuff, and Saskatoon Gunworks are great to deal with.

I have used Aero for about 5 years and they are solid. About a dozen other brands i've owned to compare and I don't see any major differences.

Can someone please enlighten me in what is wrong with NEA? I bought one because it's cheap ($70) figured how could I go wrong. But every time I see a post about it it's usually not good :/

Could not find for the life of me the NEA lower in SFRC's website. Looked for NEA, NEA lower, lower receiver, NEA receiver etc. What gives?

80 dolllars for a NEA lower = gamble on "maybe it'll work, maybe it's to spec, maybe it's wrong like many documented cases"

OR

20 dollars more for an aero lower = 99% chance it's good to go, no or minimal documented issues with spec issues.


Your money, but for a measly 20 bucks I'd go with a sure thing over a gamble. A manufacturer doesn't change their name because things were going so well for them. Think about that.
