Nikon black fx10000

I just returned my Nikon Black x1000 today. Ordered it in feb and got it out to shoot yesterday for the first time. I would get it zeroed then shoot 5 or 6 rounds and then all of a sudden POI would move a couple feet. Not impressed so it went back. Last time I buy a Nikon scope. Another guy on here had the same issue with his.

Sorry to hear you had troubles with your scope. I run Nikons on my hunting rifles and cant say I have ever had a problem with their lower end scopes. I am looking at doing a little long range shooting and like the price point of the fx1000. Also considering vortex pst 2 and Burris xtr 2.

I purchased one to mount on my BCL 102 when it comes in... this thread is not reassuring...

It was one guy that had a bad experience, if you have a look, he posted the same gripe in many Nikon threads the same day. Reviews need to be taken with the thought about those that post them the most, if you know what I mean.

There have been more guys then me with the issue. But maybe there have only been a few bad ones. Have at it I won't stop you.

I have six Nikon scopes on various rifles and have never had an issue with any of them. No matter what the brand, there is going to be a lemon from time to time.

I spoke with the Nikon rep at the Calgary gun show and from what he said that the FX1000 should be hitting Canada right about now. I want to pick one up as well so if I find them I will let you know hodogu.

These have a lifetime replacement and repair warranty. Worth taking the risk on IMHO. Just need to find someone who will sell me one...

That is true but here is the problem and it goes for any scope, it is very expensive in ammo, your time, mounting and shipping when scope does that. God forbid it does it to you during load development. Then the expense just multiplied. Each scope that failed on me in the past cost me from $100 - $200 in all of the listed above, never mind your frustration and each time my project was put on hold by at least a month+. Failed scope is a very expensive and frustrating affair and believe me, there is a reason why many guys spend thousands $$$ for quality glass, it pretty much pays for itself and you hit where you aim all the time pending operator ability.

Just got one from LaTullipe in Quebec. They were easy to deal with (in english), had the product and had free shipping so I ordered.

Scope looks/feels great. Can't wait to mount it on the .300 and get shooting.

Mine is awesome!! I have the fx1000 in MRAD, I also have a pst gen 2, and honestly for the price point, + lifetime warranty you can't go wrong. Tracking, the feel, audible clicks, the glass quality is (in my opinion) close to vortex. The turrets on the gen 2 PST I really enjoy more, but for 940 @ cabelas, for a FFP scope, you really can't go wrong. And like any brand, car, scope, shovel and remote control... Nothing is perfect, you will always get a lemon, but they have a lifetime warranty on their items. I spoke with a guy at Nikons warranty department, it's extremely close to vortex minus two things
1. Keep your receipt (not that hard to do)
2. They only offer one year on electronics.

Other than that, they cover EVERYTHING else.
