So I got my new M305 yesterday and I took it apart and cleaned it up and put it back together and everything looked pretty good from what I read and the videos I watched.
But when I went to put the trigger group back into the stock I noticed that it only closed about 40% then got very tight and you really had to push to get it to lock in. The videos I have seen they closed it 60 or 70% before you had to push it good to lock in. After installing the trigger group I functioned the rifle and it all seemed good till I held the trigger down and cycled the action and it did not hold back the hammer like it should have. (It did do that when I functioned the trigger group before installing into the stock)
So i'm pretty sure that I cannot safely fire this gun until I fix this issue
From reading some posts in the sticky it sounds to me like the stock is probably the issue by holding in the trigger group too tight it won't let the hammer grab like it should for the second stage. Anyone else think different ? Now the question is do I need to file out some of the stock along the bottom sides where those flaps grab or file under the bottom where the trigger side rests or both ? The sticky showed some pics of filing the stock out under the back trigger side.
The sticky shows people having this issue after swapping stocks but this is how it came to me from the store all I did was take it apart and clean the oil and put it back together
