2018 Ontario Moose Hunters,,numbers are out,,,

Chances of anyone in our group getting a tag is slim to SFA. This will be the fourth year in a row. The gang is talking about turning our Moose camp into a Bear camp. Hunting extended Blackie seasons? Oh yeah,I'm in.

More chance of success, less chance of accidentally running afoul of the law, and better meat. Sounds like a win-win! Go get 'em/

wouldn,t it just be easier to buy / get a tag in Quebec ?
Correct me if I,m wrong but guys have told me just go to Quebec buy a tag and go hunt .
Did anybody else read the Moose story in Ont Out of Doors about moose hunting in Sweden

Yep, non resident tag I think is around $450 and you get a bull tag for every two guys.

I would think that the ideal would be to actually have moose around for generations to come.

I am still calling for a closure to open moose hunting in Ontario, no calf hunting, no cow hunting, limited bull hunting on a lottery system.

Let the moose build up their population again.

Moose hunting in Quebec. I've done that. But I would recommend going with an outfitter if at all possible. There was a TV program a few years back in Quebec, similar to W5 showing how some hunters in Quebec vigorously protect what they deem to be THEIR moose hunting territory even though it is on crown land. Burning campsites, trailers and threatening outsiders. So if you go to Quebec do so with caution. Just imagine what some of the locals may
do to someone who is not even from their Province.
