What is with Wipe-Out?

I did a rifle yesterday and two today and when I injected the foam into the muzzle, more came puking out onto my hand and the spray can than into the barrel. All over my hands and onto the floor. What a ghastly mess and waste.

What am I supposed to do? Go real slow with the push button a teeny bit at a time?

I quit using the Wipe Out Foam Out for just that reason. The thing is, a little bit goes a long way. I use the Wipe Out Liquid bore cleaner instead. One container cleans a lot more firearms and it comes in black powed as well as corrosive cleaning as well.

One trick I used was to give the bore a very short squirt then use a loose patch to get it all the way through the bore surfaces.

Make sure your muzzle is pointed down.

Takes a bit of practice to know how much to squirt. I usually put my finger in the chamber and squirt from the muzzle. A couple of quick bursts and you can feel it with your finger and stop.

YES. Use the straw, I usually wrap an old towel around the muzzle to catch any foam that escapes. A small squirt goes a long way, it's not like a WD-40 spray, but an expanding foam cleaner.

I use a foot-long chunk of clear plastic tubing. Forget the size, but it slides tightly over the "spout" on the Wipeout container. the other end I build up wraps of electrical tape a half inch back from the end, to a diameter that jams tightly in the rifle chamber. Push into the chamber with this while squirting. Pressure goes down the barrel, give a couple shots until you see it come out the muzzle...

Wipe Out foam also has a small red straw attached to the can. Take spent cartridge from your rifle and remove the primer. open up the flash-hole just enough to insert the straw. foam the barrel from the chamber end using the cartridge adapter !!

You're the smartest guy on CGN today hands down! I'm going to try this tonight.
