Received my rifle and am super impressed for the money. This is gonna be a fun gopher smackdown machine lol. What are your favourite rings for the little cz 527? Egw makes a rail but I don’t want it too tall. As far as magnification goes I prob don’t need a ton of it. Have a new vx 2 6-18 waiting to marry a rimfire rifle. Don’t know that I need that much tho. 300 yds and under isn’t that far

you need medium height as the lowest. I bought low and you can't cycle the bolt as it hits the scope.

Ya by looking at the bolt I was thinking mediums may or may not work. I want the scope to be lower even if that means I gotta put a lower magnification scope on. I generally don’t like too much zoom in my scopes

I've seen a few different ring set-ups on a 527 and Warne were the best. Mediums work well as long as you have the newer-style low bolt handle. If it's a new gun you likely do.

I run Warnes on both of my 527s. One set of med, one high. The height difference is minimal between them. For reference the high set hold a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40, and the mediums QDs hold a Leupold VX-1 3-9x40

Dlask used to carry a low rise bolt handle as well. Not sure if they still do, but I do have one on one of my 527s.

I couldn’t find a manufacture date on the box so I’m not sure if mine would have a lower bolt handle. I think it looks the same as my new 527 synthetic 224 carbine I bought this year and that is also the new model but I’ll dohble check to see if one has a lower bolt throw

I have the Tally's on my varmint and the Warne's on my carbine. Both are good.

I bought warne rings in the u.s for 30$ a set a few years ago. I see the same rings sell for like 68 or 70$ in Canada. The quick detach for 120$ which is nuts. I wanted the regular ones instead cuz I don’t plan on removing the scope often. Can’t find them in stock anywhere tho. Double the price for quick detach is not quite cool with me

The older, tall bolt handle has a very pronounced and substantial square chunk of metal where it turns to attach into the bolt. The low bolt handle is around 1/4 inch thick at the turn.
