My point was that shootings in Canada don't create the same calls for gun control (except for the anti lobby, but that's kinda their job) that we see in the US. Perhaps because we already have some form of gun control? I'm not sure...

They dont need a justification. The rcmp can issue any opinion they want. Until gun owners AND the orgs start challenging every single opinion the rcmp issue they pretty much have their run of the place.

The alternate thing is to get one now and say nothing once it goes restricted/prohib. Just be prepared to pay the price if you get caught. And no this particular type of screwing is not enjoyable or wanted

We have full on gun control
Owning any firearm in Canada is a criminal offense, that's full on gun control my friend. More than that it would be gun ban. No need to control something that's banned since well it's banned!
What the anti wants is a GUN BAN not GUN CONTROL

Then he will move to a knife ban after having imposed knife control. i.e. What is currently happening in the UK

Sigh if only we could ban crime! On wait... Right! That doesn't really work. Well there you go...
 
Geezzz so sick of this mass paranoia . Life is to short buy both of them AR and Tavor. If it does get prohibited whatever man its not cancer
 
Absolutely! I took the AR to the range yesterday and had a great time shooting it! I would suggest that anyone thinking about buying an AR or Tavor just do it and enjoy.
Beats sitting around doing a bunch of hand wringing waiting for a ban that might never happen, especially if we stick together as a community!

I prefer the Tavor slightly more too.
Aesthetically, I find it better, and there seems to be more options for customization.
I threw an aftermarket forend and the podium bipod on mine. Can change the top rail too.
I kinda like the charging handle further up too, rubs less when slung. The only thing I like better on the X95 is the mag release but that's about it.
 
Just acquired a tavor myself....the only problem I see here is the odd shape and how large the PVP pipe needs to be.....my 858s fit in so nice.....not so much the tavor

This. A lib majority and we are f**ked. Another Parkland here on communist soil will have a catalyst effect--society will put down their Starbucks long enough to scream at govt to do something, and govt will rapidly comply.

Look south...tragedy in Florida, and we have banks saying they will not deal with firearms manufacturers. We have tightening of laws against "assault rifles" in Cali and Indiana. Second amendment no longer sacrosanct. We have yet to see the fall out from that event, unlike after Pulse or Vegas or even Sandy Hook. Society is rapidly changing, and what makes common sense to us is evil to them.
