Hi all. I have a Marlin 1895G ser # 0105###x. After shooting 10 rounds of Hornady leverrevolution the last round fired and then jammed the action. Using a ramrod I was able to gently force the cartridge and action open. Now, the firing pin will not hit the primer hard enough to ignite the primer.

I have removed the bolt and soaked it in cleaner and reoiled it but no change.

So, I am considering replacing the two piece firing pin and hammer spring. Where can I order the parts in Canada? Is there a preferred stronger spring for the hammer?

Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks

Mike

Firing pins are not a ITAR restricted item so ordering them from Numrich or Brownells in the states are not an issue if you are looking for a Canadian source you could try western gun parts. I dont think the hammer spring is your issue I would suspect some kind of damage to the front firing pin.

Thanks. When I look in the side at the sliding part of the firing pin, it appears damaged. I don’t want to disassemble until I have parts coming.
