Picked a Savage .17 HMR for reaching out to 200 yards, and for the closer shots my trusty 10/22 (yes it is over 680mm, and is so much safer with the 10 rounds magazines, what a joke....) complete with a red dot.

Also picked up a tripod shooting rest, the shooting bag with shoulder straps (90.00) makes it way easy to keep my range finder, magazines, ammo, and goodies all in one bag. The bag is 42" so my .223 Savage with it's 20" barrel also fits in for those over 200 yard shots.

Hope to get out soon to the fields with my toys.

The photos aren't loading on the dinosaur of a computer I'm on at the moment...but I'll check 'em out tonight at home. :) If WestJet doesn't royally screw-up my plans...I'll be out there soon myself, sending some love to lots of Alberta gophers. :)

I'm not sure if I'm seeing as many gophers as I did last year, but it's a good year for them in the south again, lots of the little buggers out now that it's warming up. You should have a good trip/
