P210

I should clarify. While I shoot better targets with my X5 the difference isn't huge or dramatic. My 210-2 is still pretty amazing for a 55 year old surplus service sidearm.

I'm the same in that I more consistently produce tight groups with the X-Series guns. With the better trigger, extra weight, and most importantly the superior sights it only makes sense. The P210's aren't slouches, just more demanding.

The one certain advantage of the Swiss and German P210's is aesthetics. The breech locked concept doesn't pair nearly as nicely with the round topped slide profile. Look at the ejection port on the euro guns and they're sleek & thin; the American one, while not bad, doesn't quite make it. The American one also has FCS = yuck.

While I love P210's I too have always got better groups with my P226 X5's. The Firearm Blog did a test a couple of years ago with all the super accurate custom guns.....Sig X5 was the most accurate, closely followed by the S&W PPC-9

That same gent tested his 6" 210 Supertarget in a subsequent assessment and it out shot his X5 from that review. Not that I'm too fussed about fractions of an inch though. At a certain point all these high end guns are so good it is probably a dice roll depending on the day. You can also get good and 'less' good samples. Overall I agree it is hard to beat the X5/X6. They are so easy to shoot consistently well. Personally though, I have found that the 6" 210 supertarget sample that I have shot easily just as good.
