Shadow 2 owners: Did your gun come with two safetys?

I used to ride the safety, until I evolved my grip. Now my grip is higher up to aid in managing recoil, and the stock safety gets in the way. Swapped it out for a flush safety. Never going back.

I have an urban grey that is the newer frame but came with the old magazines and no extended safety. The mec gar mags are worlds better although the factory ones function with no issue.

If the factory mags function without issue, what's better about the mec gar mags?

They’re better quality, easier to disassemble with full metal bodies and crimps. The base plates are nicer, not as sharp and aftermarket base plates will actually fit. The coating is also appealing to the eye.

The old 10 rnd mags didn't have a conventional base pad to pop off if you wanted to use aftermarket pads. I had to run a specific +2 cube magazine to be compatible with my magwell. If I wanted to use the plastic bottom mags I would have to remove a lot of material from them to engage the mag catch and they still wouldn't accept pads.

The Mec Gar are standard bottom magazines so they don't need to be modified. Crap cell pic but you get the idea.

Just got a package.

Nothing special but it's a real factory part from CZ and not aftermarket. I watched a video with a guy complaining about the $90 USD aftermarket part requiring some work to fit/function properly.

Mine came with both. I had the shop at FrontSight (Nevada) install the wider safety, which I like because my thumb rests on it, nice and high and ensures I have disengaged it when I draw.
