I got a big bunch of pulled 308 tracers here a few years back. 140 grain ish and work great in 308 at normal velocities. Has any one tried them in 300 blackout?

k 140 grain tracers loaded in a 1 grain test over 5 grains from Hornady to test. Then 6 grains of trailboss... 5 rds... let u know...

No go, fairly accurate at higher loads but no tracer action at all on all loads. Sub sonic all the way up to max charge. Had about 260 yards. Sent a couple from 308 and they did light just to confirm they were still good.

Interesting, I find that the tracers I have seem to take 150-200m to become 'activated' when using a 308. So with 300 AAC BLKOUT, with pistol powder being used i thought there maybe a potential problem.

I will have to try myself. (Maybe some time due to forest fire season is here already!)

I have some 147gr tracer pulls (think they are M25 30-06), I've never tried them subsonic with trailboss but supersonic they work great.
I found the same thing as Candocad, they need a minimum of 100 yards to light up then you can watch them burn out to 1000 yards (also loaded them in a 308win).
I do have a nice load with 150gr FMJ's over trailboss very similar to your load, try lobbing them out to 200 yards before you give up.

Since they have become very expensive lately I wouldn't be wasting them shooting 100 yards anyway.
